Bass and Flinders Distillery

Ever had a Gin Popsicle? Have you ever tasted Truffle Vodka or Monsoon Gin with an Eastern Twist?

Then head on down to the Bass and Flinders Distillery. Being an artisanal distillery, Bass and Flinders produce grape spirit using a traditional Alembic Pot Still. This type of still dates well back in history. The kettle portion has a raised dome and is responsible for releasing the alcoholic portion within the mixture. The alcoholic gases rise and pass through a pipe and serpentine coil. Next a cold water section condenses the vapors within the coil and turns the vapour back into a liquid. The process is intense and timely… but if Bass and Flinders brews are the outcome – then this type of distillery is fabulous!

Bass and Flinders have created a range of award winning gins, Australia’s first grape based Vodka, Limoncello, Grappa and Ochre.
